At Pureclinica, and since 2005 we have been producing supplements that are non-standard, meaning they can't easily be found elsewhere.

We add value where we can, typically this is in the form of more of the active ingredients per tablet or capsule to ensure you get the results you need.

In the case of Omega-3, we couldn't fit more than the standard 1000mg into each capsule, but we were able to utilize a much purer and more nutrient dense Omega-3 oil.

The two fatty acids

Omega-3 is known for being a source of two beneficial fatty acids; Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).

The quantity or density of EPA and DHA in Omega-3 fish oil supplements can vary wildly depending on the source and production methods used.

An unusual process

Molecular distillation is a specialized process that among other benefits, concentrates Omega-3 fish oils. This method, that we use exclusively, heats the oil under a high vacuum, reducing the boiling points of the fatty acids and allowing separation at lower temperatures. This prevents thermal degradation and is also particularly effective in isolating and enhancing the beneficial triglyceride forms of Omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA.

The resulting oil contains up to 3x more of the essential fatty acids; EPA, DHA.

The includes testing for microbial contamination, conducting long-term stability tests to ensure the oil remains stable and does not oxidize over time, and accelerated and real-time shelf-life studies are performed to determine the product's longevity and ability to maintain efficacy.

Further testing for heavy metals using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and advanced testing for PCBs, dioxins, and other organic contaminants using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is then carried out.

If the oil passes all of these stages, it is then put through a sensory evaluation to ensure the taste and aroma meet our high expectations.
