Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a small dark-blue European berry with a far higher concentration of anthocyanins than the common blueberry, which is why it has been valued for centuries and why people seek it out today. Those anthocyanidins are the deep-blue antioxidant pigments the fruit is prized for, so the honest measure of a bilberry tablet isn't the raw milligram claim but how much of the active it's standardised to deliver. Ours provides a 10:1 extract equal to 10,000mg of bilberry, standardised to 12.5% anthocyanidins, which works out to 125mg of the actives per tablet.
